Helping people navigate the NDIS

The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia put people more in control of their support funding than ever before. This opened up the possibility of flexible, user-driven platforms to connect those needing support, with those who can offer it.

Suitsme is a platform that provides psychosocial support. It has a focus on using technology to connect people to the right people, in order to deliver high-quality, personalised support and help people maximise the value they receive from their NDIS funding.

Evaluation-driven development

As a new business, it was critical for Suitsme to take a step-by-step, evidence-based approach to planning its go-to-market strategy.

Reach HPI director Dr Becky White has worked with many organisations to design multi-stage plans for evaluation, beginning with identifying user needs, through to executing and assessing a pilot study, and providing recommendations to guide solution design. She worked closely with Suitsme to provide the data needed to confidently move between the stages of planning and development.

Planning a long-term roadmap

Suitsme is in it for the long haul. The founders understand that development of a successful app is an iterative process, beginning with a minimum viable product (MVP), and gradually building up functionality in response to user feedback and analytics data.

As Suitsme’s development partner, Reach HPI has assisted, and continues to assist, in the curation of a development roadmap, mapping out future iterations and enhanced functionality. Effective task management and communication ensures everyone knows exactly what’s happening next.

“Having Reach HPI as our development partner is like having your own trusted in-house team to evaluate, design and build technology enabled solutions. The collaborative relationship between Reach HPI and Ruah has been paramount to the success of establishing Suitsme through an evidence-based, user centric approach.”

— Ben Hawthorn, Executive Manager, Ruah Community Services

“James and Becky’s approach has been highly collaborative; they have challenged our thinking on many design features and made it easy for a non-developer to understand and evaluate the options. This has helped make our app the best it can be.”

— Luke Rowe, COO, Suitsme
